About the SAS Parent Organization

The SAS Parent Organization (SASPO) is committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive community for students, parents, and staff. Our mission is to engage parents in meaningful ways to enhance the educational experience and school environment. Through various volunteer opportunities and events, we aim to build a strong partnership between home and school.

SASPO believes that active parent involvement is key to the success of our school. We organize numerous activities and committees that allow parents to contribute their time and talents. By working together, we strive to create a nurturing and enriching environment for all.

Volunteer Committees

Events Committee

Coordinates school events, such as family nights, school dances, and cultural fairs.
Works with volunteers to ensure events run smoothly.

Hospitality/Appreciation Committee

Organizes refreshments and hospitality for faculty and school events.
Coordinates appreciation events for faculty, such as Teacher Appreciation Week.

Communications/Content Committee

Manages the SASPO’s communication channels, including announcements, social media, and the website.
Ensures parents are informed about upcoming events, meetings, and school news.
Coordinates photography for school events and maintains a photo archive.
Provides photos for social media and website content

Membership Committee

Works to increase SASPO’s membership and engagement.
Organizes membership drives and ensures new families are welcomed and informed.

Fundraising Committee (Sports)

Plans and organizes fundraising events and activities to support our athletic programs.
Develops strategies for ongoing fundraising efforts.

Grants and Sponsorship Committee

Identifies potential grants and sponsorships to support school programs and initiatives.
Works on grant writing and developing relationships with local businesses and organizations.
